MEMÓRIAS, MULHERES E PODER NA PRESIDÊNCIA DAS COLÔNIAS DE PESCADORES/AS EM PERNAMBUCO
Transversalidade de Gênero: Acesso
das mulheres a espaços de poder e decisão na
pesca artesanal, consistiu numa proposta de
pesquisa que resgatou a trajetória de acesso
de mulheres, aos espaços de poder e decisão,
na Presidência das Colônias de Pescadores/
as em Pernambuco na última década do
século XXI. No estado de Pernambuco a 1ª
pescadora foi eleita presidente de Colônia
de pesca em 1989, ela se constituiu na única
liderança feminina desta categoria até 2007.
A partir desta data, o quadro de lideranças
nas Colônias de Pescadores/as tem sido
modificado, foram eleitas 06 seis presidentes
com o apoio do movimento social Articulação
das Mulheres Pescadoras de Pernambuco e
destas seis, duas se candidataram à vereadora,
uma delas foi eleita para o cargo nas últimas
eleições municipais, em 2016. A pesquisa está
fundamentada na epistemologia feminista e
na literatura que envolve gênero, pesca e
meio ambiente. A proposta metodológica de
conhecimento situado, contribuiu na elaboração
de radionovelas, idealizadas a partir da
concepção de trocas de saberes que envolve a
devolução dos dados de pesquisa à comunidade
na forma cartilhas, reuniões, palestras e cursos.
A pesquisa possibilitou resgatar histórias de
superação e visibilizou mudanças nas relações
de poder e de trabalho.

Abstract:
Gender Transversality: the
women’s access to power and decision taking
in small-scale fisheries consisted of a research
proposal that rescued the access trajectory of
women to spaces of power and decision in the
Presidency of the Fishermen and Fisherwoman
Colonies in Pernambuco in the last decade of
the twenty century. In the state of Pernambuco,
the first fisherwoman was elected president
of her fishing colony in 1989. She was the
only female leader of this category until 2007.
From this date, the leadership framework in
the Fishermen and Fisherwomen’s Colony has
been modified: 6 female presidents have been
elected with the support of the social movement
called “Articulation of the Fisherwomen of
Pernambuco”. From these six, two were candidates for councillor positions and one
was elected to the position in the last municipal elections in 2016. The research
bases on feminist epistemology and in the literature involving gender, fishing, and the
environment. The methodological proposal of situated knowledge contributed to the
elaboration of radiophonic soap-operas idealized from the conception of exchanges of
knowledge that involve the devolution of research data to the community in the form
of booklets, meetings, lectures, and courses. The research made it possible to rescue
cases of overcoming and made visible the changes in the relations of power and work.
