MEMÓRIAS DE APRISIONAMENTO: DISCUTINDO O CONCEITO DE INSTITUIÇÃO TOTAL À LUZ DE UMA INSTITUIÇÃO PSIQUIÁTRICO-PENAL
Este trabalho objetiva a reflexão do conceito de instituição total, com base nas memórias produzidas sobre os abrigados no Instituto de Perícias Psiquiátricas Heitor Carrilho, a fim de verificar a aplicação deste conceito no âmbito da referida instituição. A discussão tem como suporte teórico o pensamento produzido por Erving Goffman, o qual possibilita articular tal concepção às discussões empreendidas no campo da Memória Social. A metodologia utilizada baseia-se na prática cartográfica. Observamos que as instituições totais seguem operando num processo de descaracterização dos sujeitos e, apesar das mudanças e rupturas no contexto histórico e social, ainda produzem ocultamento e apagamento das vozes dos mesmos.

Abstract:
This article aims analyze the concept total institution, based on the memories produced about the sheltered of Instituto de Perícias Heitor Carrilho, in order to verify the applied of this concept in such institution. In the discus have with theoretical support the perspective of Erving Goffman, looking articulate such concept to the area of study of the Social Memory. This study is based on the cartographic method. We observed that total institution continues to operate in a process of de-characterized of the subject and, even with the changes and disruption in the historical and social context, have continued producing a erasing the voice of the same.
