Memória e militância feminista no enfrentamento da humilhação social
O presente trabalho é fruto de
uma pesquisa em Psicologia Social, em fase
final. Discute-se a opressão política das
mulheres - ou a desigualdade de gênero –
enquanto um problema social e histórico de
graves consequências objetivas e subjetivas.
É gerador de uma modalidade de sofrimento
coletivamente compartilhado: a humilhação
social, um sofrimento ancestral e repetido. São
apresentadas estratégias de enfrentamento da
humilhação social, alcançadas e praticadas
por mulheres que participam de um movimento
social feminista: a Marcha Mundial das
Mulheres. Os métodos utilizados orientam-se
pelos pressupostos da pesquisa qualitativa
em Psicologia Social. Como resultados
iniciais, observamos momentos marcantes nas
trajetórias de vida das depoentes em que elas
relatam formas distintas de vivenciar e enfrentar
a humilhação social.

Abstract:
The present work is the result of
a research in progress in Social Psychology.
The political oppression of women - or gender
inequality - is discussed as a social and historical
problem of serious objective and subjective
consequences. It generates a collectively
shared mode of suffering: social humiliation,
an ancestral and repeated suffering. Strategies
for coping with social humiliation practiced by
women who participate in a feminist social
movement are presented. The feminist social
movement is the World March of Women. The
methods used are guided by the presuppositions
of qualitative research in Social Psychology. As
initial results, we observe striking moments in
the life trajectories of the deponents in which
they report different ways of experiencing and
facing social humiliation.
