MEMÓRIA CULTURAL: ANÁLISE DA FORMAÇÃO IDENTITÁRIA DO INDÍGENA BRASILEIRO POR MEIO DO CONHECIMENTO ANCESTRAL
Considerando a relação entre o
eu e o outro, determinada no âmbito social,
há considerações a serem estabelecidas a
partir da construção cultural tecida nesse
meio. O sentimento de pertencimento cultural,
por sua vez, delineia-se face aos vínculos
desenvolvidos entre os sujeitos. Tendo em vista
a cultura indígena brasileira, um dos aspectos a
serem ressaltados na busca pela perpetuação
de suas tradições é a ancestralidade,
relacionada à memória cultural e transmitida
oralmente por gerações. Assim, esta pesquisa
teve como objetivo analisar a construção da
identidade dos nativos brasileiros a partir de
sua memória cultural registrada na Literatura
Indígena Brasileira, de modo a ressaltar o valor
do conhecimento ancestral e seu impacto para
a preservação desse povo e sua cultura. A fim
de promover uma percepção sobre alteridade,
este estudo buscou, em um primeiro momento,
a compreensão de conceitos acerca da
construção da identidade dos indivíduos, sendo
essas delineadas no plano individual e coletivo;
relacionando a concepção da pluralidade do
eu face ao outro, assim como a hibridização
cultural, tendo em vista aspectos que permeiam
a construção das culturas. As reflexões
apresentadas a partir da obra objeto de estudo,
Wamrêmé Za’ra – Nossa palavra: Mito e história
do povo Xavante, de Sereburã et al. (1998),
refletem um novo olhar às culturas indígenas
brasileiras, de modo a reconhecer, além da sua
Literatura, elementos que transpõem o anseio
pela perpetuação de sua cultura e tradição.

In view of the Brazilian native culture, one of the aspects to be emphasized in the search for the perpetuation of its traditions is ancestry, related to cultural memory and transmitted orally for generations. Thus, this research aimed to analyze the construction of the identity of Brazilian natives from their cultural memory recorded in the Brazilian Natives Literature, to highlight the value of ancestral knowledge and its impact for the preservation of this people and their culture. To promote a perception about otherness, this study first sought to understand concepts about the construction of individuals’ identity, Notas Sobre Literatura, Leitura e Linguagens 2 Capítulo 18 201 which are outlined at the individual and collective levels; relating the conception of the plurality of the self to the other, as well as cultural hybridization, in view of aspects that permeate the construction of cultures. The reflections presented from the object of study, Wamrêmé Za’ra – Nossa palavra: Mito e história do povo Xavante, by Sereburã et al. (1998), reflect a new look at Brazilian natives cultures, in order to recognize, in addition to their Literature, elements that transpose the yearning for the perpetuation of their culture and tradition.
