MEIO AMBIENTE E SAÚDE: UMA RELAÇÃO INDISSOCIÁVEL
A Lei Federal nº 6.938/81,
denominada de Política Nacional do Meio
Ambiente, objetiva a preservação, melhoria e
recuperação da qualidade ambiental favorável
à vida e, portanto, à saúde, visando assegurar
condições ao desenvolvimento socioeconômico
e à proteção da dignidade humana (Art. 2º).
Esta lei define poluição como a degradação da
qualidade ambiental resultante das atividades
que direta ou indiretamente prejudiquem a
saúde, a segurança e o bem-estar da população
(artigo 3º, inciso III, alínea “a”). Partindo dessa
premissa, entende-se que todo ambiente deve
ter condição satisfatória e segura, garantindo
a todos um meio ambiente ecologicamente
equilibrado e essencial à sadia qualidade de
vida. Foi embasado nessa premissa que se
construiu o projeto intitulado: Um olhar sobre os
animais abandonados do IF Sertão-PE/Campus
Petrolina, a partir das reflexões geradas na
disciplina Educação Ambiental no Curso de
Licenciatura em Química do Instituto Federal do
Sertão Pernambucano. Nesse sentido, objetivase
aqui discutir a problemática do abandono
de animais nas instituições públicas, bem
como, pontuar questões salutares quanto aos
cuidados necessários ao conviver com estes
diariamente, buscando apresentar possíveis
soluções para a problemática. Para tal, realizou
uma pesquisa entre os meses de março e
outubro de 2017, utilizando como instrumento
de consulta o formulário google docs, visando
analisar a opinião da comunidade interna
sobre a temática em tese. Após a consulta os
resultados foram tabulados e, os resultados
encontrados indicam a insatisfação da maioria
da comunidade em conviver com os animais
dentro da instituição, onde puderam opinar e
pontuar possíveis soluções para a problemática.

Abstract:
Federal Law No. 6.938/81,
called the National Environmental Policy,
aims at preserving, improving and recovering
environmental quality that is favorable to life
and, therefore, to health, aiming at ensuring
conditions for socioeconomic development
and protection of human dignity (Article 2).
This law defines pollution as the degradation of
environmental quality resulting from activities
that directly or indirectly affect the health, safety and well-being of the population (Article
3, item III, letter “a”). Based on this premise, it is understood that every environment must
have a satisfactory and safe condition, guaranteeing to all an environment ecologically
balanced and essential to the healthy quality of life. It was based on this premise
that the project titled: A look at the abandoned animals of the IF Sertão-PE / Campus
Petrolina, based on the reflections generated in the Environmental Education course
at the Chemistry Degree Course of the Federal Institute of Sertão Pernambucano. In
this sense, the objective is to discuss the problem of abandoning animals in public
institutions, as well as to write salutary questions about the care required to live with
them daily, in order to present possible solutions to the problem. To do so, conducted
a survey between March and October 2017, using as an instrument of consultation the
form google docs, to analyze the opinion of the internal community on the thematic in
thesis. After the consultation, the results were tabulated and the results indicated the
dissatisfaction of the majority of the community in living with the animals inside the
institution, where they could express opinions and point out possible solutions to the
problem.
