MEDO E ANSIEDADE FRENTE A MORTE EM IDOSOS
Ao longo da vida, medo e ansiedade frente a morte parecem estar presentes, possivelmente se tornando mais acirrada com o envelhecimento. Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar como idosos lidam com a morte, através de um inventário composto por 20 questões estilo likert, chamado de “Inventário de Ansiedade Frente a Morte (DAI- adaptação e tradução de Sábado, 2016) “, do qual vinte e quatro idosos responderam. Dos idosos que participaram da pesquisa, (50%) apresentou baixo nível de medo e ansiedade frente a morte, (41,6%) apresentaram nível moderado e a minoria (8,4%) dos participantes apresentaram alto nível de medo e ansiedade frente a morte. Conclui-se que idosos, em sua maioria, demonstraram baixo nível medo e ansiedade frente a morte.

Abstract:
Throughout life, fear and anxiety in the face of death seem to be present, possibly becoming more severe with aging. This study aimed to identify how the elderly deal with death through an inventory composed of 20 Likert-style questions, called “Anxiety Inventory Facing Death (DAI- adaptation and translation of Saturday, 2016) “, from which twenty-four seniors responded. Of the 24 elderly people who participated in the survey, (50%) had a low level of fear and anxiety in the face of death, (41.6%) had a moderate level and the minority (8.4%) of the participants had a high level of fear. and anxiety in the face of death. It is concluded that the majority of elderly people showed a low level of fear and anxiety in the face of death.
