MEDICINA TRADICIONAL CHINESA E AURICULOTERAPIA: CONTRIBUTOS TEÓRICO-ARGUMENTATIVOS
a Medicina Tradicional Chinesa (MTC) considera os fenômenos da natureza e do corpo, assim como utiliza técnicas para promover o alívio de desordens do organismo humano. Estas compõem as Práticas Integrativas e Complementares (PICs), as quais tiveram origem na década de 60 e subsidiaram a aprovação da Política Nacional de Práticas Integrativas e Complementares (PNPIC), vinculada ao Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), em 2006. Dentre as PICs, encontra-se a auriculoterapia, a qual utiliza agulhas, materiais esféricos e sementes para estimular pontos reflexos encontrados na orelha e tem se mostrado eficaz para o tratamento de cariados distúrbios. Assim, por meio dessa análise teórico-argumentativa, propõem-se ao leitor a reflexão sobre: princípios e fundamentos da MTC, a partir da simbolologia chinesa Yin, Yang e os Cinco Elementos; e, auriculoterapia e seus fundamentos (anatomia do pavilhão auricular, técnicas de acupuntura, avaliação, reações adversas e contraindicações). Para tanto, a presente reflexão contribui com as discussões da PNPIC e do SUS, bem como de outros órgãos e entidades que discorrem sobre a necessidade de expandir o conhecimento e a utilização da auriculoterapia como PIC nos diferentes cenários de cuidado em saúde.

Abstract:
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) considers the phenomena of nature and the body, as well as uses techniques to promote the relief of disorders in the human organism. These make up the Integrative and Complementary Practices (PICs), which originated in the 1960s and supported the approval of the National Policy on Integrative and Complementary Practices (PNPIC), linked to the Unified Health System (SUS), in 2006. Among the PICs, there is auriculotherapy, which uses needles, spherical materials and seeds to stimulate reflex points found in the ear and has been shown to be effective for the treatment of carious disorders. Thus, through this theoretical-argumentative analysis, the reader is proposed to reflect on: principles and foundations of TCM, based on the Chinese symbology Yin, Yang and the Five Elements; and, auriculotherapy and its fundamentals (anatomy of the auricle, acupuncture techniques, evaluation, adverse reactions and contraindications). Therefore, this reflection contributes to the discussions of the PNPIC and the SUS, as well as other bodies and entities that discuss the need to expand the knowledge and use of auriculotherapy as a PIC in different health care scenarios.
