• Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming the business world by automating tasks and reducing expenses. However, ERP systems remain essential for unifying processes and ensuring operational effectiveness. ERP customization has become a crucial tool for companies seeking solutions tailored to their specific needs. The main benefits of customization include adapting the system to the company’s needs, increased employee engagement, higher productivity, integration with other systems, and a good cost-benefit ratio. This adaptability helps companies remain more competitive and sustainable over time. In this case study, a company in the natural products sector faced challenges in calculating salespeople’s commissions. The default ERP system did not meet their needs, leading to inconsistencies in calculated values, rework, and delays in processing results. Additionally, the possibility of recalculating closed periods compromised the historical data. To solve these problems, the company chose to customize the ERP, adjusting the commission calculation routine with the support of the IT team. This initiative ensured more accurate calculations, reliable results, and greater process efficiency.
