Maternidade: como é experienciada por mulheres.
O estudo objetivou analisar o significado da maternidade para mulheres que vivenciam diferentes etapas do processo de ser e tornar-se mãe. De caráter descritivo com abordagem qualitativa, o estudo teve como cenário dois municípios do extremo oeste do estado de Santa Catarina. Participaram seis mulheres com idades entre 23 e 35 anos, sendo duas gestantes, duas em período puerpério e duas com filhos em idades iniciais. A coleta de dados ocorreu entre maio e junho de 2021, por meio de roteiro com entrevista semiestruturada. Os dados, foram interpretados a luz da Análise de Conteúdo. Os resultados notabilizam para a importância de uma rede de apoio à mulher uma vez que a falta de auxílio tanto para a mãe quanto para o filho, somado a falta de suporte emocional para expor seus desconfortos, é um agravante para adoecimentos da mulher. Revelou ainda que a cobrança social sobre a mulher é diferente da que existe sobre o homem e que a romantização acerca da maternidade pode fazer com que mulheres vivenciem a maternidade da culpa. Tais achados reconhecem a importância de abrir espaços de diálogos para que as mulheres possam verbalizar suas experiências sobre a maternidade real.

Abstract:
The study aimed to analyze the meaning of motherhood for women who experience different stages of the process of being and becoming a mother. With a descriptive character with a qualitative approach, the study took place in two cities in the extreme west of the state of Santa Catarina. Six women aged between 23 and 35 years participated, two of them pregnant, two in the puerperium period and two with children at early ages. Data collection took place between May and June 2021, through a script with semi-structured interviews. Data were interpreted in the light of Content Analysis. The results highlight the importance of a support network for women, since the lack of help for both the mother and the child, added to the lack of emotional support to expose their discomforts, is an aggravating factor for the woman's illnesses. It also revealed that the social demand on women is different from that on men and that the romanticization of motherhood can make women experience the motherhood of guilt. These findings recognize the importance of opening spaces for dialogue so that women can verbalize their experiences about real motherhood.
