MATEMÁTICA PARA ENSINAR AS OPERAÇÕES BÁSICAS: INVESTIGANDO O MANUAL PEDAGÓGICO DE IRENE DE ALBUQUERQUE DE 1964
Este texto é resultante dos estudos desenvolvidos durante uma disciplina do curso de doutorado, que teve por enfoque o ensino de matemática em seus aspectos históricos. Por problematização, buscou-se elucidar quais matemáticas para ensinar as operações básicas eram mobilizadas em um tempo em que a calculadora ainda não era um recurso pedagógico possível. Como material analítico, elegemos o manual Metodologia da Matemática de Albuquerque (1964) a fim de encontrar indícios de qual matemática para ensinar as operações básicas era proposta no período da vaga intuitiva. Apoiados nos referenciais teóricos-metodológicos, propostos por Valente (2018; 2019; 2021), discutimos acerca de algumas orientações pedagógicas do manual escolhido. Como resultado deste estudo, identificamos uma matemática para ensinar onde defende-se um ensino intuitivo, cálculos mentais, uso de recursos concretos e treinos de algoritmos.

Abstract:
This text is the result of studies developed during a doctoral course, which focused on the teaching of mathematics in its historical aspects. By problematization, we sought to elucidate which mathematics to teach basic operations were mobilized in a time when the calculator was not yet a possible pedagogical resource. As analytical material, we elected the textbook Metodologia da Matemática de Albuquerque (1964) in order to find indications of which mathematics to teach basic operations was proposed in the period of the intuitive wave. Supported by the theoretical-methodological references, proposed by Valente (2018; 2019; 2021), we discussed about some pedagogical orientations of the chosen manual. As a result of this study, we identified a mathematics to teach where an intuitive teaching, mental calculations, use of concrete resources and algorithm training are advocated.
