Abstract: The study aims to analyze the use of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in susceptibility mapping of mass movements in Brazil, focusing on systematizing relevant conditioning factors for multicriteria analysis. To achieve this, the methodology was based on a systematic literature review following a research protocol that combined keywords with Boolean operators. Fourteen valid articles were included in the study, revealing conceptual conflicts regarding the terminology and semantics of the criteria. A total of 21 conditioning factors were identified, with emphasis on slope, employed in all analyzed mappings, as well as geology, pedology, land use and cover, and terrain shape. Regarding relevance within multicriteria analysis, slope stood out as the most significant criterion, bearing the highest weight in 11 out of 14 analyzed mappings.
