MAPEAMENTO DA EXTRAÇÃO E CARACTERIZAÇÃO DA CADEIA PRODUTIVA DE PEDRAS PRECIOSAS NA REGIÃO DO MÉDIO ALTO URUGUAI NO ESTADO DO RIO GRANDE DO SUL
O Rio Grande do Sul (RS) é o único estado brasileiro onde é encontrada a pedra ágata, muito apreciada internacionalmente por sua beleza e versatilidade. Assim, a extração de gemas tem grande relevância no desenvolvimento socioeconômico das regiões junto aos locais de extração e beneficiamento, disponibilizando recursos e entrada de divisas e alavancando o setor através da agregação de valor aos produtos comercializados. Portanto, este estudo se propõe a mapear e caracterizar a extração de pedras preciosas na Região do Médio Alto Uruguai do RS. Diante disso, o presente estudo trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa-descritiva, em que se busca descrever minunciosamente os dados, e estudo de caso intrínseco único, sendo a cadeia produtiva de pedras preciosas, o caso. Assim, concluiu-se que a coordenação da cadeia recebe forte influência, compreendendo-se a necessidade de melhorar a troca de informações entre os agentes, buscando elaborar projetos e ações em prol da atividade mineral.

Abstract:
Rio Grande do Sul (RS) is the only Brazilian state where agate stone is found, much appreciated internationally for its beauty and versatility. Thus, the extraction of gems has great relevance in the socioeconomic development of the regions next to the extraction and processing sites, providing resources and foreign exchange inflows and leveraging the sector by adding value to the products sold. Therefore, this study proposes to map and characterize the extraction of precious stones in the Middle Upper Uruguay Region of RS. In view of this, the present study is a qualitative-descriptive research, in which it is sought to thoroughly describe the data, and a unique intrinsic case study, with the production chain of precious stones being the case. Thus, it was concluded that the coordination of the chain receives strong influence, understanding the need to improve the exchange of information between agents, seeking to develop projects and actions in favor of mineral activity.
