MANIFESTAÇÕES PATOLÓGICAS DE REVESTIMENTOS CERÂMICOS EM FACHADAS: UM ESTUDO DE CASO
O revestimento cerâmico é utilizado na construção civil por suas possibilidades de aplicação, porém o uso deste material como revestimento em fachadas vem sendo cada vez mais estudado pelo surgimento de manifestações patológicas. Diante o exposto, objetivou, com o presente trabalho, estudar as principais patologias existentes nos revestimentos cerâmicos da fachada do Teatro Municipal Dix-Huit Rosado da cidade de Mossoró e discutir as possíveis causas que originaram. Este estudo foi dividido em duas etapas: A primeira consistiu em uma revisão de literatura. A segunda parte no estudo de caso em que se realizou vistorias no local, por meio de documentação fotográfica e aplicação de um questionário ao responsável pela construção da edificação. O estudo evidenciou que a principal patologia detectada nas fachadas do teatro foi o destacamento das pastilhas que de certa forma se generalizou nas fachadas, infelizmente trata-se de uma patologia grave, visto que pode provocar acidentes aos usuários que precisem transitar em torno do mesmo. Constatou-se a importância de manutenções preventivas e a realização de ensaios em laboratórios para verificação das causas que provocaram a perda de aderência das pastilhas.

Abstract:
Ceramic coating is used in civil construction because of its application possibilities, but the use of this material as a coating on facades has been increasingly studied due to the emergence of pathological manifestations. In view of the above, the present work aimed to study the main pathologies existing in the ceramic coatings of the facade of the Dix-Huit Rosado Municipal Theater in the city of Mossoró and to discuss the possible causes that originated. This study was divided into two stages: The first consisted of a literature review. The second part is the case study in which on-site inspections were carried out, through photographic documentation and application of a questionnaire to the person responsible for the construction of the building. The study showed that the main pathology detected on the facades of the theater was the detachment of the tiles that in a way was generalized on the facades, unfortunately it is a serious pathology, since it can cause accidents to users who need to transit around it. It was verified the importance of preventive maintenance and the performance of tests in laboratories to verify the causes that caused the loss of adhesion of the tablets.
