Abstract: Brazil has a significant capacity for corn production, being one of the largest producers and exporters of this cereal worldwide. However, a challenge faced in this sector is the presence of the corn leafhopper (Dalbulus maidis), a pest that causes direct damage to plants and also acts as a vector for pathogens and viruses, resulting in productivity losses. Effective control of this pest has been challenging, particularly because the exclusive use of chemical pesticides has proven to be inefficient. Therefore, integrated management approaches are necessary, such as cultural practices, use of resistant cultivars, seed treatment, biological control, and behavioral strategies, to effectively deal with the corn leafhopper and protect corn production in Brazil. The objective of this work is to present management strategies and tactics for controlling the corn leafhopper based on the literature, within the framework of integrated pest management (MIP). Through a bibliographic review carried out on digital scientific platforms, preferably using data from publications from 2018 to 2023, gathering promising results from strategies that, when integrated into an IPM, can minimize the damage caused by the pest in corn crops.
