Abstract: Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF) is a cardiac condition characterized by intermittent episodes of arrhythmia, associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular complications. This study analyzed the main therapeutic approaches for PAF, highlighting the limitations of antiarrhythmic drugs and the growing efficacy of catheter ablation. Pulsed field ablation proved to be a promising technique, offering a lower risk of complications compared to thermal methods. Risk stratification was also emphasized as an essential factor in selecting appropriate treatment. Moreover, patient education and adherence to therapy emerge as key strategies for optimizing therapeutic outcomes. We conclude that the personalization of PAF management, combined with technological innovations and educational strategies, can significantly improve patient quality of life.
