MÃE PATRIARCA: OPRESSÃO MATERNA EM UM CONTO DE TANIA JAMARDO FAILLACE
O que é ser uma mãe perfeita? Até onde uma mãe pode interferir na formação de sua prole? São questionamentos assim que surgem quando lemos os contos de Tânia Jamardo Faillace reunidos no livro O 35º ano de Inês. A obra de Tânia Faillace faz parte da memória gaúcha, mas que ao cumprir seu papel de transgressão, adentra a universalidade das relações maternais. A proposta desse trabalho é analisar o conto homônimo da obra, investigando a relação aparentemente bem resolvida entre Inês e sua mãe até que no dia do seu 35º aniversário a relação sofre um abalo. Solteirona até então, a narrativa faz transparecer como a influência da mãe resultou uma jovem mulher desiludida e sem forças para mudar o seu destino. A mãe de Inês representa em um ser feminino todo poder do patriarcalismo brasileiro, e que devido à morte do pai, sua mãe acaba repetindo todos os ideais do opressor. O conto representa uma voz velada por um sistema conservador e provinciano, para o qual o jogo de aparências está acima de tudo.

Abstract:
What is it to be a perfect mother? How far can a mother interfere with the formation of her children? These are questions that arise when we read the short stories by Tânia Jamardo Faillace gathered in the book O 35º ano de Inês. Tânia Faillace's work is part of the southern people’s memory, but when she fulfills her role of transgression, she enters the universality of maternal relations. The purpose of this work is to analyze the homonymous tale of the work, investigating the apparently well-resolved relationship between Inês and her mother until, on the day of her 35th birthday, the relationship is shaken. The narrative shows how the mother's influence resulted in a young woman disillusioned and without the strength to change her destiny. Inês's mother represents in a female being all the power of Brazilian patriarchy, and that due to the death of her father, her mother ends up repeating all the ideals of the oppressor. The tale represents a voice veiled by a conservative and provincial system, for which the game of appearances is above all.
