LUTA E RESISTÊNCIA NA TRAJETÓRIA DE JOÃO NERY: [TRANS]PASSANDO A DITADURA CIVIL-MILITAR BRASILEIRA
A partir dos discursos presentes nas
obras autobiográficas do transhomem João
Nery, propõe-se uma reflexão sobre a trajetória
histórica desse transexual, enfatizando o seu
processo de (re)aprendizagem acerca dos
papéis de gênero, incluindo sua adaptação em
níveis sociais e individuais, contextualizada
durante os anos finais de um período bastante
conturbado da história política brasileira – a
Ditadura Civil-Militar. Tais fontes autobiográficas
foram analisadas enquanto narrativas de
acontecimentos imbuídas de significados
para quem os vivenciou, possibilitando uma
discussão acerca dos vínculos sociais e
históricos relacionados à forma como João Nery
propôs que sua trajetória fosse lembrada. Para
atribuir sentido a estas interações, trabalhando
a partir da perspectiva dos Estudos Culturais,
utiliza-se os diálogos teóricos e metodológicos
fornecidos principalmente por Judith Butler,
Michel Foucault, Berenice Bento, Stuart Hall e
Michael Pollak.

Abstract:
From the discourses present in the
autobiographical works of the trans man João
Nery, it is proposed a reflection on the historical
trajectory of this transsexual, emphasizing
its process of (re)learning about the gender
roles, including their adaptation at social and
individual levels, contextualized during the final
years of a very troubled period of Brazilian
political history - the Civil-Military Dictatorship.
Such autobiographical sources were analyzed
as narratives of events imbued with meanings
for those who lived them, enabling a discussion
about the social and historical ties related to
the way in which John Nery proposed that his
trajectory be remembered. To assign meaning
to these interactions, working by the perspective
of Cultural Studies, used the theoretical and
methodological dialogues provided, maily, by
Judith Butler, Michel Foucault, Berenice Bento,
Stuart Hall and Michael Pollak.
