Abstract: This scientific research aims to present the importance of play in the process of inclusion in the school environment, highlighting the children's universe and their emotional and cognitive needs. Playfulness is the action expressed through games and play that should be conducted in order to provide students with an attractive learning space. To support this work, a bibliographical research was carried out in order to gather the necessary information from authors/scholars who have already addressed the basis of the term playfulness and its need as a pedagogical practice, so that a significant and integral learning of children with special needs occurs, as well as the role of the teacher in this dynamic of inclusion as a mediator and a sensitive being, inserted in this process, articulating a dynamic and active proposal centered on play, to improve learning and give the student the opportunity to grow through relevant activities carried out with the students.
