LITERATURA QUE LIBERTA: O PROJETO REMIÇÃO DA PENA PELA LEITURA EM UMA UNIDADE PRISIONAL MASCULINA DE CAMPOS DOS GOYTACAZES.
Este trabalho consistiu em abordar práticas de incentivo à leitura por meio de uma abordagem de intervenção. Para desenvolver tal estudo, a ênfase foi na literatura como elemento de humanização no contexto de uma unidade prisional masculina, no município de Campos dos Goytacazes - RJ, com o projeto intitulado Leitura que Liberta: remição da pena pela leitura. O trabalho de natureza qualitativa e descritiva, por meio de um relato de experiência, teve como aporte teórico as contribuições de Candido (2019), Freire (2005), Foucault (1999), dentre outros teóricos que percebem a educação como uma das formas de garantir a dignidade da pessoa humana e a maneira mais eficaz de integração do indivíduo à sociedade. Dessa forma, acreditamos que projetos como este, em unidades prisionais, podem influenciar na adoção de medidas em prol de políticas de cidadania, como também proporcionar momentos de leitura como ferramenta de transformação pessoal.

Abstract:
The current study consisted of addressing practices to encourage reading through an intervention approach. In order to develop such a study, the emphasis was on literature as an element of humanization in the context of a male prison unit, in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes - RJ, with the project entitled Libertarian Reading: remission of the penalty through reading. The qualitative and descriptive work, through an experience report, had as a theoretical input the contributions of Candido (2019), Freire (2005), Foucault (1999), among other theorists who perceive education as one of the forms of guaranteeing the dignity of the human being and the most effective way of integrating the individual back into society. Thus, we believe that projects like this, in prison units, can influence the adoption of measures in favor of citizenship policies, as well as providing moments of reading as a tool for personal transformation.
