LITERATURA E TANATOGRAFIA EM QUESTÃO: QUANDO A MORTE FALA DA VIDA
O presente artigo objetiva investigar
a representação literária da História no romance
Viva o povo brasileiro, de João Ubaldo Ribeiro,
através da análise da morte, buscando entender
seus desdobramentos na obra e seu caráter
historiográfico e denunciativo. Para tanto, o
trabalho examina como a relação entre a escrita
literária e o discurso historiográfico se dá no
referido romance, possuindo a morte como
chave analítica. Demonstrando, enfim, que a
forma como a representação literária da morte
se dá na narrativa faz com que a mesma se
apresente como uma voz no texto literário que
problematiza o passado histórico de violência
da sociedade brasileira, constituindo-se um
indicativo das atitudes e dos comportamentos
humanos, um meio de discussão da História e
da própria vida humana.

Abstract:
This article aims to investigate
the literary representation of the story in the
novel Viva o povo brasileiro, by João Ubaldo
Ribeiro, through the analysis of death, seeking
to understand its developments in the work and
its historiographical and denouncing character.
For this, the work examines how the relationship
between literary writing and historiographical
speech is given in the said novel, possessing
death as an analytical key. Demonstrating, finally,
that the way in which the literary representation
of death is given in the narrative makes it
present itself as a voice in the literary text that
problematizes the historical past of violence of
the Brazilian society, constituting an indicative
of the Attitudes and human behaviors, a means
of discussion of history and human life itself.
