Abstract: Objective: To list the main cardiovascular complications associated with SLE, as well as risk factors and signs and symptoms for an early and guiding diagnosis, in order to promote greater survival for the individual. Method: This is a bibliographic review carried out between February and March 2023 in the Scielo, BVS, Medline and Lilacs databases, with the descriptors in health sciences Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Cardiovascular Diseases and Clinical Manifestations, combined with each other with the Boolean operator AND. Results:From the articles analyzed, it is possible to elucidate that early diagnosis of the immune disease is of paramount importance, since the impact on identification and risk factors enables adequate treatment and quality of life for the sufferer. Final considerations: In view of this, the research shows that cardiovascular events still need to be the subject of further studies.
