Abstract: Lymphoma is a malignant neoplasm, which originates from lymphoid organs, described in several species including man. In the canine species, lymphoma is classified according to the anatomical location as multicentric, intestinal or alimentary, cutaneous, mediastinal and extranodular. Dogs of any age can be affected by this neoplasm, however the highest prevalence occurs in adult and elderly animals. Clinical signs of lymphoma are considered nonspecific, depending on the anatomical location of the tumor. When the gastrointestinal tract is affected, clinical manifestations such as emesis, diarrhea, apathy and weight loss can be observed. Diagnostic alternatives include laboratory tests and imaging tests, while the definitive diagnosis is made by histopathological analysis. The treatment of choice for this neoplasm is chemotherapy, which may be associated with surgery and radiotherapy. The present work aims to report a case of intestinal lymphoma in a male dog, shih-tzu breed, 09 years old, with a history of gastrointestinal disease for 06 months, with evolution of symptoms to melena a few weeks ago. The patient underwent laboratory tests and abdominal ultrasonography, which made it possible to identify the presence of neoformation in the intestine region. The patient underwent enterectomy and enteroanastomosis and was diagnosed by histopathological evaluation with intestinal large cell lymphoma. A few days after the surgical procedure, the animal died. With comprehensive and nonspecific symptoms, the diagnosis of lymphoma can occur late, compromising the patient's quality of life. In view of the above, it is important to carry out imaging tests in patients with gastric symptoms, in addition to including them in the list of differential diagnoses of diseases with gastrointestinal symptoms.
