Abstract: This research aims to study the role of women in leadership positions, with data collected from exploratory bibliographic analysis, interviews and opinion surveys on the subject. The study reveals a series of challenges that women encounter in the professional world, such as: pay inequalities, barriers to career progression and a legacy of gender differences. Despite these challenges, there is also significant progress and opportunities achieved by women in the labor market. Our study was limited to only examining a small segment of the population and does not serve as a basis for generalizations. For definitive resolutions, an expanded sample of companies would be necessary to provide more comprehensive results. The results of the surveys carried out show some advances in the issue of gender inequality in the corporate context.
