Abstract: Context: Digital transformation has promoted significant changes in care and management processes in healthcare organizations, requiring new skills from nursing professionals, especially those in leadership roles. Objective: To analyze the available scientific evidence regarding the digital leadership competencies of nurse managers as an indispensable strategy for digital transformation in healthcare organizations. Specific Objectives: To identify the digital competencies necessary for nurse managers; to describe the challenges related to digital transformation in nursing; to analyze the impacts of digital leadership on the quality of care; to identify professional training strategies in digital health. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review/opinion article, conducted in the PubMed, SciELO, LILACS and Virtual Health Library databases, using the descriptors "Nursing", "Leadership", "Digital Transformation", "Informatics in Nursing" and "Health Management". Articles published between 2020 and 2026, available in full, in Portuguese and English, were included. To determine the inclusion criteria, the “PICO” formulation was used, in accordance with JBI recommendations, translating into population, intervention, control, and outcome. The review will consider studies that reflect the available scientific evidence regarding the digital leadership competencies of nurse managers as an indispensable strategy for digital transformation in healthcare organizations. Presentation and interpretation of results: The results showed that digital leadership is related to the development of technological competencies, data-driven decision making, innovation management, digital communication, and continuous training of teams. Challenges related to resistance to change, technological skills deficit, and structural limitations in healthcare organizations were identified. Conclusion: It is concluded that strengthening the digital leadership competency of nurse managers is essential and indispensable to promote innovation, quality of care, and client safety in the context of digital transformation in healthcare organizations.
