O estudo analisa a importância do letramento digital do policial militar paraense no combate às fake news e aos crimes cibernéticos no contexto da segurança pública contemporânea. A pesquisa parte da compreensão de que a expansão das Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação modificou profundamente a circulação das informações, a formação da opinião pública e as dinâmicas da criminalidade, ampliando os impactos da desinformação e das práticas ilícitas realizadas em ambientes virtuais. O objetivo geral consiste em analisar a importância do letramento digital do policial militar paraense no enfrentamento dessas práticas. Metodologicamente, trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, desenvolvida a partir da análise de artigos científicos, estudos acadêmicos e materiais institucionais relacionados à segurança pública, desinformação, letramento digital e criminalidade cibernética. Os resultados demonstram que o letramento digital fortalece a interpretação crítica das informações, contribui para prevenção de golpes virtuais e amplia a eficiência das ações policiais diante da crescente digitalização da segurança pública contemporânea.

  • Abstract: This study analyzes the importance of digital literacy among Pará's military police in combating fake news and cybercrimes within the context of contemporary public security. The research stems from the understanding that the expansion of Digital Information and Communication Technologies has profoundly modified the circulation of information, the formation of public opinion, and the dynamics of crime, amplifying the impacts of disinformation and illicit practices carried out in virtual environments. The overall objective is to analyze the importance of digital literacy among Pará's military police in confronting these practices. Methodologically, this is a bibliographic research, developed from the analysis of scientific articles, academic studies, and institutional materials related to public security, disinformation, digital literacy, and cybercrime. The results demonstrate that digital literacy strengthens the critical interpretation of information, contributes to the prevention of online scams, and increases the efficiency of police actions in the face of the growing digitalization of contemporary public security.
