LESIONES CEREBRALES Y PLASTICIDAD: UNA REVISIÓN BIBLIOGRÁFICA DESDE LA PSICOBIOLOGÍA Y LA PSICOFISIOLOGÍA
RESUMEN: Las lesiones cerebrales sean estas traumáticas o no constituyen una fuente para la ocurrencia de trastornos en las funciones neuronales superiores, las cuales proponen un reto para la neuroplasticidad: el presente artículo tiene como objetivo Determinar las consecuencias más relevantes del daño cerebral en el desarrollo y perfeccionamiento de las funciones nerviosas superiores desde la biología de los fenómenos mentales y la psicofisiología; la metodología aplicada fue de tipo documental mediante la revisión de la literatura científica; se determinó que los principales efectos de las lesiones cerebrales se enfocan en alteraciones del lenguaje y la conducta y que estas guardan gran relación con el momento de ocurrencia de la lesión durante el ciclo de vida de la persona y la localización de la lesión a nivel encefálico. Se concluyó que existe una amplia descripción de los efectos de las lesiones cerebrales en el sujeto desde las diferentes aristas siendo de menor alcance las propuestas conceptuales desde la óptica de las bases biológicas de los procesos mentales.

Abstract:
Brain injuries, whether traumatic or not, constitute a source for the occurrence of disorders in higher neuronal functions, which pose a challenge for neuroplasticity: this article aims to determine the most relevant consequences of brain damage in the development and improvement of higher nervous functions from the biology of mental phenomena and psychophysiology; the applied methodology was of a documentary type through the review of the scientific literature; It was determined that the main effects of brain injuries are focused on language and behavior alterations and that these are closely related to the moment of occurrence of the injury during the life cycle of the person and the location of the injury at the brain level. . It was concluded that there is a broad description of the effects of brain lesions on the subject from different angles, the conceptual proposals being less far-reaching from the perspective of the biological bases of mental processes.
