LESÃO POR PRESSÃO: O PROTAGONISMO DA ENFERMAGEM NA IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DOS CUIDADOS PREVENTIVOS
As Lesões por Pressão (LPP) provocam danos significativos ao paciente, pois dificulta o processo de recuperação funcional, pode gerar dor e levar ao aparecimento de graves infecções, assim como tem sido relacionado a internações prolongadas, sepse e mortalidade. O objetivo do presente artigo foi verificar na literatura o protagonismo da enfermagem na prevenção de LPP. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, onde foi realizada a busca eletrônica das publicações nas bases de dados Base de Dados em Enfermagem (BDENF), Sistema Latino-Americano e do Caribe de Informação em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS). A amostra foi composta de 14 artigos originais, disseminados em 11 periódicos disponibilizados nas bases de dados citada, com destaque para a Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da USP e Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem com três publicações de cada uma incluídas nesta revisão. Em relação aos enfoques das publicações inseridas no estudo, emergiram duas categorias temáticas empíricas. Categoria 1: O impacto das LLP no âmbito hospitalar; Categoria 2: A importância da enfermagem na prevenção das LPP. Em suma, podemos perceber que de fato o profissional enfermeiro é protagonista na prevenção das LPP, tendo o Enfermeiro Dermatológico que assumir esse papel, investir cada vez mais em estudos e práticas baseadas em evidências para assim aprimorar os conhecimentos específicos da área.

Abstract:
Pressure Injuries (LPPs) causes significant damage to the patient, as it hinders the functional recovery process, can generate pain and lead to the appearance of serious infections, as it has been related to prolonged hospitalizations, sepsis and mortality. The objective of this article was to verify in the literature the role of nursing in the prevention of LPP. This is an integrative review, where the electronic search of the publications in the databases of Nursing Database (BDENF), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Information System (LILACS) was carried out. The sample consisted of 14 original articles, distributed in 11 journals published in the mentioned databases, with emphasis on the Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da USP and the Brazilian Journal of Nursing with three publications of each one included in this review. In relation to the approaches of the publications inserted in the study, two empirical thematic categories emerged. Category 1: The impact of LLP in the hospital environment; Category 2: The importance of nursing in the prevention of LPP. In short, we can see that in fact the nurse practitioner is a protagonist in the prevention of LPP, and the Nurse Dermatologist has to assume this role, invest increasingly in studies and practices based on evidence to improve the specific knowledge of the area.
