Abstract: This article analyzes labor and human rights regulations affecting rural workers in Latin America, identifying gaps in their legal protection. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines bibliometric and qualitative analysis, it documents jurisprudential cases that have influenced the protection of these workers and assesses their effectiveness in promoting fair labor conditions. The study is framed within a historical context spanning from colonization to the present, employing tools such as VOSviewer (2023) and Microsoft Excel (2021) for bibliometric analysis, complemented by a qualitative examination of specific cases. The findings reveal evidence of systemic violence against Indigenous and peasant communities, as well as the persistence of resistance from landowning elites and a lack of governmental support. The conclusions underscore the need to strengthen public policies and jurisprudence to ensure the effective protection of rural workers' rights within the framework of sustainable development and human rights.
