LA FRONTERA INTERÉTNICA EN EL SUR DE CÓRDOBA HACIA FINES DEL SIGLO XVIII: FORTIFICACIONES Y FUERZAS DEFENSIVAS
Durante el proceso colonial americano los españoles apelaron al establecimiento de defensas militares en diferentes frentes de conflictos. El trabajo se ocupa de la estrategia castrense asociada a las disputas entre indios y cristianos procurando establecer la manera en que la frontera militar se puso en acto en una frontera de características interétnicas. En ese contexto, los fuertes y fortines -de precaria materialidad- alineados para asegurar la paulatina ocupación territorial fueron defendidos por fuerzas que se caracterizaban por su movilidad en el terreno, visible en las partidas corredoras de los campos, las batidas en tierras indígenas, el rechazo de los malones sobre los fuertes y estancias así como el auxilio a otros fuertes vecinos.

Abstract:
During the American colonial process, the Spanish appealed to the establishment of military defenses on different fronts of conflicts. The work deals with the military strategy associated with the disputes between Indians and Christians, trying to establish the way in which the military border was implemented on a border with inter-ethnic characteristics. In this context, the forts and forts -of precarious materiality- aligned to ensure the gradual territorial occupation were defended by forces that were characterized by their mobility on the ground, visible in the running games of the fields, the raids in indigenous lands, the rejection of the malones on the forts and estancias as well as the aid to other strong neighbors
