Abstract: This chapter begins by addressing inequality problems in Latin America and the Caribbean and its impact on equality and quality of education, including the powerful impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world and the region, in relation to the educational gap. Then, an attempt is made to provide a definition of inclusive education with a human rights approach and the multiple variables that influence the inclusion process, such as educational policy, educational culture and educational practice, analyzing the role played by managers and teaching staff, and the skills that they should have. Finally, the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is presented as a guide to address the diversity of students in the classroom.
