JUSTIÇA ECOLÓGICA E INDÚSTRIA ALIMENTAR DE ANIMAIS: INTERCONEXÕES ENTRE DIREITOS DOS ANIMAIS E DIREITOS HUMANOS
O presente artigo tem por objetivo investigar a relação existente entre as violações de direitos dos animais e dos direitos humanos, sob a perspectiva da Justiça Ecológica, especificamente quanto à atuação da indústria alimentar de animais, considerando seu processo produtivo como causa de danos ambientais, tais como: desmatamento excessivo de florestas, redução de recursos hídricos, produção exorbitante de dejetos que contaminam lagos, rios e oceanos, facilitação de transmissão de zoonoses, extinção de animais e a expansão de zonas mortas no oceano. Danos estes diretamente relacionados com a devastação do meio ambiente e, consequentemente, violação de direitos essenciais à manutenção de uma vida digna. Ao final, sugere-se a necessidade de um novo paradigma jurídico protetivo de toda e qualquer forma de vida, qual seja, a perspectiva ecocêntrica.

Abstract:
This article aims to investigate the relation between animal and human rights violations, from the perspective of the ecological justice, specifically regarding the animal-based food industry, considering a production process as a cause of environmental damage, such as: excessive deforestation, reduction of water resources, large production of waste that contaminates lakes, rivers and oceans, facilitation in the transmission of zoonoses, extinction of animals and the expansion of dead zones in the ocean. These damages are directly related to the devastation of the environment, and consequently, to the violations of essencial rights to the maintenance of a dignified life. At the end, it is suggested the need for a new protective legal paradigm for any and all forms of life, that is, the ecocentric perspective.
