JOVENS E INTERNET: NOVOS PERFIS DE ESTUDANTE E PROFESSOR
O tema central deste texto são as
modificações do perfil de professores e de alunos
a partir do crescimento das tecnologias digitais
e, em especial, da internet. Originou-se de
uma pesquisa cujo objetivo central era verificar
os impactos desse fenômeno no ensino e na
aprendizagem dos jovens. Quando pensamos
hoje nos desafios da educação, obrigatoriamente
pensamos nas tecnologias e na mediação
pedagógica que permitem, a partir de um debate
sobre que papéis assumem seus principais
protagonistas: os alunos e os professores. A
metodologia escolhida para a coleta de dados
foi um questionário aplicado através do “Survey
Monkey”. O instrumento apresentava asserções
sobre a internet e solicitava que fossem avaliadas
de acordo com a relevância. Das asserções
altamente valoradas pelos 481 jovens que
responderam o instrumento três preponderaram:
A internet é um espaço para se comunicar com as
pessoas; permite saber o que está acontecendo; e
serve para fazer trabalhos da escola. Enquanto as
redes sociais e a internet são algo do cotidiano para
os jovens, tornando o conhecimento acessível e
de mais fácil compreensão, facilitando a interação
e as práticas cooperativas e colaborativas de
ensino e de aprendizagem, as escolas ainda não
as incorporaram de forma efetiva. É necessário
conhecer o perfil desse novo aluno, sua estrutura
cognitiva e estilo de aprendizagem. É necessário
também rever a formação dos professores,
incorporando as tecnologias à prática docente.

Abstract:
The central theme of this text is the
teachers and students profile modifications
from the growth of digital technologies and
in particular the internet. It originated from a
survey whose main objective was to verify the
impact of this phenomenon on the teaching and
learning of young people. Today, when we think
on the challenges of education, we must think
in technologies and pedagogical mediation that
allow, from a debate about what papers assume
its main protagonists: the students and teachers.
The methodology chosen for the data collection was a questionnaire through the “Survey
Monkey”. The instrument had claims on the internet and asked to be evaluated according
to relevance. Among the assertions highly valued by 481 young people who answered the
instrument three predominated: The internet is a space to communicate with people; it lets
you know what’s going on; and is useful for schoolwork. While the social networks and the
Internet are something common for young people, making the knowledge accessible and
easy, facilitating interaction and cooperative and collaborative practices of teaching and
learning, schools have not incorporated them effectively. You need to know the profile of
this new student, their cognitive structure and learning style. It must also review the training
of teachers, incorporating technologies to the teaching practice.
