Abstract: Literacy is a fundamental stage in children's educational development, requiring pedagogical practices that promote meaningful learning of reading and writing. In this context, games and playful activities emerge as important educational resources capable of fostering motivation, participation, creativity, and the development of cognitive, social, and linguistic skills. This study aims to analyze the contributions of playful practices to the literacy process, highlighting the role of games and play in children's learning. The research is characterized as a bibliographic study with a qualitative and exploratory approach, based on the analysis of books, scientific articles, and educational documents related to literacy and ludicity. The theoretical framework is grounded in the contributions of authors such as Vygotsky, Piaget, Kishimoto, Ferreiro, Teberosky, and Soares, whose studies emphasize the importance of play in child development and literacy acquisition. The findings indicate that playful activities facilitate the understanding of the alphabetic writing system, encourage social interaction, and contribute to more meaningful learning experiences. It is concluded that the integration of games and play into literacy practices represents an effective pedagogical strategy for promoting children's integral development and improving the teaching-learning process.
