Abstract: This article presents an experience report on the use of educational games as a strategy for teaching notions of orientation and location in Geography. The objective is to share pedagogical proposals tested and consolidated over a decade of experience in public schools in Manaus, within the scope of the PIBID Geography subproject, which aim to contribute to the development of cartographic literacy among sixth-grade students. The activities described were carried out with low-cost materials, adapted to school contexts, and organized to allow replication by other teachers. Qualitative assessment of learning was carried out based on field records, photographs, and spontaneous observations of students. The results, collaborative - increased student engagement, significant improvement in the understanding of spatial concepts, and strengthening of active learning, especially in the recognition of cardinal points, geographic regions, and the location of Brazilian states.
