Abstract: The Playing with History project examines how gamification can support the learning of students with learning disorders by encouraging autonomy, reflection, and critical understanding. A Canva-based game on the Middle Ages integrates play and knowledge, fostering engagement and inclusion. Grounded in active-learning principles, the methodology includes classroom application, direct observation, and qualitative analysis of interactions. Expected outcomes include increased interest in historical content, stronger argumentative and reflective skills, and enhanced cooperation. The study concludes that gamification creates a more dynamic, meaningful environment that strengthens student agency and makes learning accessible.
