JEPURUVÔ ARANDÚ – “UTILIZANDO SABEDORIA”: UMA E XPERIÊNCIA COM EDUCADORES E GESTORES EM TORNO DA TEMÁTICA INDÍGENA NAS ESCOLAS DO RIO GRANDE DO NORTE, DE ACORDO COM A LEI 11.645/2008
A partir do ano de 2000, no Rio Grande do Norte, surgiram estudos acadêmicos em busca de respostas sobre a problemática indígena no estado. Tais pesquisas e trabalhos resultaram, mais tarde, no ano de 2014, em um projeto, dentre tantos outros, desenvolvido por uma equipe de representantes indígenas, educadores e antropólogos, que consistiu nos seminários intitulados Jeporuvô Arandú, ocorridos nos municípios de Açu, Canguaretama, Goianinha, João Câmara, Baía Formosa e Macaíba. Essa iniciativa foi aprovada pelo Prêmio Culturas Indígenas-2013, ed. Raoni Metuktire, e teve como principal meta desenvolver reflexões acerca da educação em uma perspectiva intercultural, indo além do conhecimento e dos discursos autorizados de uma historiografia de ocultamento indígena no estado.

Abstract:
From the year 2000 and on, academic studies on indigenous people have come forth in Rio Grande do Norte-Brazil. These studies aimed to seek for answers regarding the issues that involve indigenous people in that state. In 2014 there was also another landmark, a project by a team of indigenous representatives, educators and anthropologists that aimed to propose research seminars such as the one entitled “Jeporuvô Arandú” held in the municipalities of Açu, Canguaretama, Goianinha, João Câmara, Baía Formosa and Macaíba in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. This initiative was approved and recognized by the Indigenous Culture Prize of the year 2013 in the Raoni Metuktire session and had as main goal as to make reflections on intercultural education perspective, going beyond common knowledge and authoritative discourses present in a historiography set on the denial and hiding of the natives in the state.
