Abstract: This research focuses on analyzing the demand for an energy drink made from cape gooseberry, asking questions such as the characteristics of the fruit, the demographic behavior of potential consumers and the competition in the energy drink market in Cali. The general objective is to carry out a market study for an energy drink based on cape gooseberry in Cali. Specific objectives include researching cape gooseberry characteristics, understanding consumer preferences, and evaluating market competition. The research responds to the growing demand for natural and healthy products, as consumers are increasingly interested in options that offer health benefits. Cape gooseberry is an attractive alternative to traditional energy drinks, which typically contain sugars and additives. For this reason, it was planned to conduct a survey of 130 student athletes from the National Sports School University, to collect data on their needs and perceptions regarding these drinks. The reference framework addresses market research, energy drinks and the characteristics of the cape gooseberry. Provide information about the growth of energy drinks and the problems that excessive consumption of these has caused to health. Highlighting the cape gooseberry as an exotic fruit with nutritional benefits. The research will be descriptive and quantitative, using surveys as the main technique for collecting information from consumers, thus seeking to obtain precise data on the viability of the product in the market.
