INTRODUÇÃO À ABORDAGEM HISTÓRICO-EDUCACIONAL
O estudo da história da educação
constitui quesito “sine qua non” para
o entendimento da problemática atual
relacionada ao processo educacional, pois a
educação presente é um produto histórico e
não uma invenção exclusiva do tempo atual. A
história resulta da necessidade que o homem
possui de reconstituir o passado, relatando,
analisando e interpretando os acontecimentos
a partir da reorganização de suas causas em
uma ordem cronológica e por meio da seleção
daqueles considerados relevantes. A história da
educação tem início nas sociedades primitivas
e tribais, nas quais já se verificam práticas
de ensino e orientação para os indivíduos.
Como teoria pedagógica, propriamente dita,
à educação surgiu na sociedade grega, tendo
como principais representantes os filósofos
e os sofistas. Ao longo de sua história,
o desenvolvimento da educação e seus
objetivos sempre estiveram condicionadas às
necessidades econômicas, políticas e sociais de
cada civilização em cada época. É necessário
romper com a visão natural responsável por
ocultar a historicidade da reflexão pedagógica
e impedir a compreensão do modo como
foram erigidos os discursos científicos na área
educativa. Além de possibilitar a compreensão
da experiência atual o estudo da história da
educação também constitui uma ferramenta
para promover a melhoria da educação, visto
que ela informa as dificuldades que a educação
tem experimentado.

Abstract:
The study of education history is
a sine qua non point for the understanding of
a current problem related to the educational
process, for the present education is a historical
product and not an exclusive invention of current
times. Its history comes from the necessity
men have to rebuild their past, reporting,
analysing and interpreting events from the
reorganization of the causes in a chronological
order and through those facts which are
considered relevant. Education History starts
in primitive and tribal societies, in which one can notice teaching practices and individual orientation. As a padagogical theory itself
education rose in greek society, having the philosophers as the main representatives.
Throughout its history, the development of education and its objectives have always
been conditioned to economical, political and social needs of each civilization in each
time. It is necessary to break up with a natural vision responsible for hiding the history
of pedagogical reflection and block the comprehension the way scientif speeches
were built in educative field. Besides making it possible to understand the current
experiment, the study of education history also constitutes a tool which is able to
promote the improvement o education, once it informs the difficulties education has
been experiencing.
