INTOLERÂNCIA RELIGIOSA CONTRA AS DE MATRIZ AFRICANA NA MÍDIA HEGEMÔNICA: ANÁLISE DE CONTEÚDO NOS JORNAIS “O GLOBO” E “O ESTADO DE S. PAULO”
Este artigo pretende analisar como a intolerância religiosa no Brasil contra as de matriz africana, notadamente a Umbanda e o Candomblé, representada na mídia hegemônica brasileira, a partir dos jornais “O GLOBO” e o “ESTADO DE S. PAULO”. O objetivo é fazer uma análise comparativa entre os dois veículos de comunicação escolhidos, a partir do mesmo fenômeno, que tem sido retratado constantemente na mídia, e entender como se dá a trajetória desses registros nos dois jornais de grande circulação e analisar se há diferenças ou similaridades nos registros, visto que esses veículos têm marcas diferentes. Ocorre que os dois veículos, influenciados por seus representantes, têm seus próprios pontos de vista sobre o assunto. O artigo traz como corpus as edições de junho de 2012 a setembro de 2015 dos jornais citados para a verificação dos fenômenos comunicacionais. Utilizamos como referência que, no mesmo período, foram registrados pela Comissão de Combate à Intolerância Religiosa 1.114 queixas, das quais 71% tinham como alvos as religiões afro-brasileiras, causando vários protestos. A pesquisa procurará forçosamente identificar a literatura mais importante vinculada à nossa abordagem, do mesmo modo que, na seleção dos artigos e reportagens, buscaremos identificar padrões, mudanças de ênfase, aspecto ou funcionalidade, que nos permitam tanto definir o objeto, como fundamentar a análise a ser feita, que será comparar os dois veículos de comunicação escolhidos, a partir do mesmo fenômeno, que tem sido retratado constantemente na mídia e entender como se dá a trajetória desses registros, nos dois jornais de grande circulação: O ESTADO DE S. PAULO, por ser um jornal de uma família que vem representando a elite paulista desde a sua fundação: família de católicos conservadora. Abstract:
This article intends to analyze how the religious intolerance in Brazil against those from African matrix, notably Umbanda and Candomblé are represented in the Brazilian hegemonic media, in O GLOBO and O ESTADO DE S. PAULO newspapers. The objective is to make a comparative analysis between the two chosen communication vehicles, from the same phenomenon, which has been constantly portrayed in the media and to understand the trajectory of these records in the two newspapers of great circulation and to analyze if there are differences or similarities in the records, since these vehicles have different marks. The two vehicles influenced by their representatives, have their own views on the subject. The article brings as corpus the editions of June 2012 to September 2015, from the newspapers cited for the verification of the communicational phenomena. As reference, in the same period were registered by the Commission on Religious Combat and Intolerance, 1,114 complaints, 71% were targeted by Afro-Brazilian religions, causing several protests. The research will necessarily seek to identify the most important literature related to our approach, just as in the selection of articles and reports, we will seek to identify patterns, changes of emphasis, aspect or functionality that allow us both to define the object and to base the analysis on it will be made, which will be, to compare the two chosen communication vehicles, from the same phenomenon that has been constantly portrayed in the media and to understand how the trajectory of these records occurs in the two newspapers of great circulation: O ESTADO DE S.
