Abstract: This work is structured through a non-mandatory curricular internship project developed in an Institution in the State of Santa Catarina, where the objective was articulated to observe the potential risks for the psychic structuring in the mother-baby dyad, as well as the reception of mothers, the latter amplifying the practice of clinical reception, as well as interventions in the mother and/or caregiver relationship. The methodological procedures were engendered in the review of the contributions of psychoanalysis to interventions with babies and children, as well as its relationship with the prehistory of the subject, the establishment of the mother-baby interrelationship and the importance of welcoming caregivers for structuring of clinical interventions. The mother-baby relationship was observed through playing, which developed in the clinical reception waiting room. The results of the project showed us that premature, syndromic babies, with developmental delays and/or diagnosed early in early childhood present potential risks to their psychic dynamics, and it is worth highlighting that the biomedical diagnosis of autism at this time constitutes a mistake through psychoanalytic articulations, as this understands that the subject is always to come, thus early diagnosis is engendered as an aggressiveness towards the future of the person who is in the process of psychic structuring. To this end, we recommend that the study of Risk Indicators for Child Development – IRDI (Developed by Maria Cristina Kupfer and other researchers) be somehow coupled to interventions in early childhood so that its future is not hampered by diagnostic processes that in Many of the cases come to us as autism, but they echo in the clinic as a potential psychotic risk.
