Abstract: Introduction: cardiometabolic diseases include chronic conditions such as systemic arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, dyslipidemias and obesity, and are responsible for the increase in global morbidity and mortality. Given this scenario, health education becomes a fundamental strategy for promoting self-care and improving health outcomes. Among the various educational technologies, podcasts have stood out as innovative, accessible and effective tools for disseminating information. Objective: to report the experience of producing and executing a podcast as an educational technology aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle in people with DCM. Method: this is an experience report from March to November 2024, in the municipality of Baturité, Ceará, Brazil. The production of the podcast followed three stages: review of the scientific literature; construction and evaluation of scripts by experts; and recording and broadcasting of the episodes. The episodes were recorded and broadcast live through community radio. Results: the podcast consisted of four episodes, released weekly, with an average duration of 35 to 60 minutes. The episodes covered topics such as healthy eating, weight control, physical exercise, smoking and alcohol cessation, medication management, sleep quality, and stress control. The experience demonstrated that the use of the podcast as an educational tool made it possible to expand the reach of information, contributing to the dissemination of scientific evidence in an accessible and interactive way. Conclusion: the educational podcast is a viable and innovative strategy for promoting the health of people with cardiometabolic diseases, standing out as an easy-to-implement resource with great potential for replication in different contexts.
