Abstract: This article explores the intersection between artificial intelligence (AI) and work in the Amazon, highlighting both opportunities and challenges of this technological convergence. AI has the potential to transform critical sectors such as agriculture, health, and extractivism, increasing productivity and improving operational efficiency. Effective adoption of AI in the region requires a deep understanding of local socioeconomic and infrastructural particularities. Challenges such as poor digital connectivity, limited professional qualification, and inadequate infrastructure need to be overcome to maximize AI benefits. Additionally, robust public policies, investments in infrastructure, and professional training are essential to ensure a fair and sustainable transition. Collaboration between the public and private sectors, along with continuous research, will be fundamental for inclusive development of AI in the Amazon.
