INTEGRANDO CONHECIMENTOS AMBIENTAIS E ESTATÍSTICOS NA FORMAÇÃO DE ENGENHEIROS POR MEIO DE PROJETOS DE MODELAGEM
Esta pesquisa de abordagem
qualitativa tem como objetivo investigar
o impacto do trabalho com projetos de
modelagem no âmbito da Educação Estatística
Crítica na formação do Engenheiro Ambiental
da Universidade Federal de Rondônia. A
Educação Estatística Crítica discute condições
para que a Estatística auxilie na formação, no
desenvolvimento da criticidade e na construção
da identidade pessoal e social dos estudantes.
A partir dos projetos desenvolvidos na disciplina
de Estatística II, os alunos perceberam
a importância de integrar conhecimentos
ambientais e estatísticos para a análise de
situações que vivenciam e que influenciam sua
vida e a de sua comunidade. Neste ambiente
de aprendizagem foi possível repensar o
currículo para além dos conteúdos estatísticos
e desenvolver práticas investigativas que
suscitem o exercício da cidadania crítica.

Abstract:
This qualitative research aims to
investigate the impact of the work with modeling
projects in the scope of Education Statistical
Critical in the formation of the Environmental
Engineer of the Federal University of Rondônia.
Education Statistical Critical discusses
conditions for statistics to assist in the formation,
development of criticality and in the construction
of students’ personal and social identity. From
the projects developed in the discipline of
Statistics II, students realized the importance
of integrating environmental and statistical
knowledge for the analysis of situations that
they experience and that influence their life
and that of their community. In this learning
environment it was possible to rethink the
curriculum beyond the statistical contents and
to develop investigative practices that provoke
the exercise of critical citizenship.
