Abstract: Context: Presentism, a phenomenon in which people will work despite not being in the best physical, social or emotional condition, has assumed an increasing role in occupational health services. The early identification of this phenomenon, through assessment tools defining it can constitute an added value to improve the health condition of workers. Objectives: To identify the instruments for assessing presentism available in the literature. Methods: Integrative review of literature with research in international databases. Results: 22 instruments were identified to assess the impact of health conditions on work performance. These instruments are directed to a global health condition and / or to certain clinical conditions. Conclusion: The identification of the instruments for assessing presentism, which want to recover validated non-data for the portuguese population, can contribute to the dissemination of the most recent evidence available and provide the adoption of occupational health safety practices.
