Abstract: The implementation of digital strategies in Ecuadorian university education faces significant challenges and opportunities. The persistent digital divide among different socio-cultural strata requires prioritized attention to ensure equity in access and the development of digital competencies. Teacher training emerges as a fundamental pillar, empowering educators to effectively integrate technology in the classroom and guide students towards digital proficiency. Inclusion and equity in digital education stand as crucial objectives, empowering all students to fully participate in the current and future digital society. Digital competence extends beyond the mere handling of technological tools, encompassing critical skills such as analytical thinking and online information evaluation. Technology, in harmony with innovative pedagogical approaches, facilitates meaningful and contextualized learning experiences. The promotion of responsible digital citizenship becomes essential, educating students about online ethics and digital safety. Addressing these aspects comprehensively promotes an educational system that prepares students to succeed in the current and forthcoming digital era.
