Inhotim: um retrato na parede?
O presente trabalho pretende abordar as transformações no povoado de Inhotim, no município de Brumadinho, que resultaram na paisagem cultural do Instituto Inhotim, famoso museu de arte contemporânea e jardim botânico, mostrando ainda quais foram as rupturas e resistências dos habitantes locais, uma vez que a criação do Instituto Inhotim implicou em uma desapropriação territorial e histórica do antigo povoado de Inhotim. O texto faz alusão ao poeta mineiro Carlos Drummond de Andrade que aborda a destruição de um edifício cuja memórias e lembranças permaneciam vivas na vida dos moradores. O principal elemento de recordação dos moradores eram os retratos na parede, assim como a comunidade de Inhotim.

Abstract:
The present work intends to approach the transformations in the town of Inhotim, in the municipality of Brumadinho, which resulted in the cultural landscape of the Inhotim Institute, famous contemporary art museum and botanical garden, also showing what were the ruptures and resistance of the local inhabitants, since the creation of the Inhotim Institute resulted in a territorial and historical expropriation of the former village of Inhotim. The text alludes to the poet Carlos Drummond de Andrade from Minas Gerais, who addresses the destruction of a building whose memories and memories remained alive in the lives of the residents. The main element of memory for the residents were the portraits on the wall, as well as the community of Inhotim.
