INFLUÊNCIAS DO DIAGNÓSTICO E DO TRATAMENTO NO COTIDIANO E NA SAÚDE MENTAL DAS PACIENTES COM CÂNCER DE MAMA
INTRODUÇÃO: O câncer lidera as causas de morte no mundo e, entre mulheres, o tumor de mama é o mais prevalente, inclusive no Brasil. O diagnóstico de câncer tem um efeito devastador na vida da pessoa que precisa assimilá-lo, seja pelo temor às mutilações e desfigurações que os tratamentos podem provocar, seja pelo receio da morte ou pelas muitas perdas, nas esferas emocional, social e material. Esta revisão da literatura visa abordar influências do diagnóstico e do tratamento na vida das pacientes com câncer de mama, apresentando uma breve revisão bibliográfica, enfatizando o reflexo dessas influências no cotidiano e na saúde mental. REVISÃO: A presente investigação ocorreu através de uma revisão de literatura, com a utilização das bases de dados eletrônicos Scientific Eletronic Library Online (Scielo), Google acadêmico e EBESCO. Além do material disponível no site da Sociedade Brasileira de Mastologia (SBM). Os descritores para a busca nesses sites foram: “câncer de mama”, “psicossocial” (18). Utilizou-se artigos referentes aos últimos 10 anos (2009/2019), nos idiomas inglês, português e espanhol. A partir das buscas realizadas nas bases de dados, foram encontrados 5641 artigos, dentre estes, 11 se encaixaram por atenderem aos critérios de seleção de inclusão desta revisão sistemática. DISCUSSÃO: O câncer de mama é e o mais temido pelas mulheres, sobretudo por acometer uma parte valorizada do seu corpo, que além de ter sua função e simbologia ligada à maternidade, está associada as imagens de intimidade. Em muitas culturas, está ligada à identidade corporal feminina e aos sentimentos de autoestima. No momento do diagnóstico, as mulheres passam por uma experiência amedrontadora, sentem-se angustiadas com o prognóstico da doença, os efeitos colaterais do tratamento e principalmente a sobrevida. CONCLUSÃO: O diagnóstico e tratamento exercem influência direta em aspectos psicossociais, evidenciando a necessidade da divulgação de mais informações sobre o tema exposto.

Abstract:
INTRODUCTION: Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide and, among women, the breast tumor is the most prevalent, including in Brazil. The diagnosis of cancer has a devastating effect on the life of the person who needs to assimilate it, either because of the fear of mutilations and disfigurements that treatments can cause, either because of fear of death or because of the many losses, in the emotional, social and material spheres. This literature review aims to address influences of diagnosis and treatment in the lives of patients with breast cancer, presenting a brief bibliographic review, emphasizing the reflection of these influences in daily life and mental health. REVIEW: The present investigation took place through a literature review, using the electronic databases Scientific Eletronic Library Online (Scielo), Google academic and EBESCO. In addition to the material available on the website of the Brazilian Mastology Society (SBM). The descriptors for searching these sites were: “breast cancer”, “psychosocial” (18). Articles from the last 10 years (2009/2019) were used in English, Portuguese and Spanish. From the searches performed in the databases, 5641 articles were found, among these, 11 fit because they met the selection criteria for inclusion in this systematic review. DISCUSSION: Breast cancer is and the most feared by women, especially because it affects a valued part of their body, which in addition to having its function and symbolism linked to motherhood, is associated with images of intimacy. In many cultures, it is linked to female body identity and feelings of self-esteem. At the time of diagnosis, women go through a frightening experience, feel distressed with the prognosis of the disease, the side effects of the treatment and especially the survival. CONCLUSION: Diagnosis and treatment have a direct influence on psychosocial aspects, highlighting the need to disseminate more information on the exposed topic.
