INFLUÊNCIA DO PRECONCEITO NO PROCESSO SAÚDE-DOENÇA DE TRANSEXUAIS E TRAVESTIS: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA DE LITERATURA
O estudo objetivou analisar como o preconceito influencia no processo saúde-doença de transexuais e travestis. Trata-se de revisão integrativa de literatura que utilizou as bases de dados SciELO, LILACS e MEDLINE e os descritores “Preconceito de gênero”, “Transexualidade”, “Travestilidade”, “Trabalhadores de saúde” e “Assistência à saúde”. A busca ocorreu em março e abril de 2019 e incluiu publicações de 2009 a 2019. Dentre as 1.177 publicações encontradas, selecionaram-se 13 pelos critérios de inclusão e exclusão. Observou-se que o processo de feminilização corporal, atrelado aos transexuais/travestis que se identificam como mulheres, leva a realização de procedimentos estéticos que podem ocasionar problemas de saúde. Este processo de mudança corporal deve ser acompanhado por profissionais capacitados, porém, muitos transexuais/travestis evitam usar os serviços de saúde devido ao preconceito. Atitudes como desrespeito ao uso do nome social e violência podem afetar a saúde deste público e levar à evasão dos serviços de saúde. Isso influencia na qualidade da assistência, fazendo com que muitos procurem serviços clandestinos. O preconceito, portanto, influencia no processo saúde-doença de transexuais/travestis, proporcionando o desenvolvimento de problemas de saúde e diminuindo a procura pelos serviços. Daí a importância da atuação dos profissionais de saúde junto a essa parcela da população.

Abstract:
The study aimed to analyze how the prejudice affects the health-disease process from transsexuals and transvestites. It is an integrative literature review that used the databases SciELO, LILACS and MEDLINE and some descriptors about "Gender Prejudice", "Transsexuality", "Transvestilly", "Health Workers" and "Health Care". The research occurred in March and April 2019 and it included publications from 2009 to 2019. Among the 1,177 publications found, 13 were selected by the inclusion and exclusion criteria. It was observed that the process of corporal feminization, linked to transsexuals/transvestites who identify themselves as women, leads to the performance of aesthetic procedures that it can lead them into some health problems. This process of bodily change must be accompanied by trained professionals, however, many transsexuals/transvestites avoid to use some health services because of the prejudice. Attitudes such as disrespect about their social name and violence can affect the health of this public and lead them to the avoidance of health services. These actions influence the quality of care, causing many to seek clandestine services. Prejudice, therefore, influences the health-disease process of transsexuals/transvestites, providing the development of health problems and reducing the demand for services. Thus all those stuffs surrounding them, it becomes important the inclusion of health professionals working with this part of the population.
