Abstract: The 'Niagara Rosada' vine (Vitis labrusca), derived from the somatic mutation of 'Niagara Branca' in 1933, in the municipality of Louveira/SP, has a pink color that makes it more valued in the grape market for fresh consumption, but also with suitability for table wine production. Due to its greater rusticity compared to Vitis vinifera cultivars, 'Niagara Rosada' quickly expanded its cultivation throughout several regions of Brazil, becoming the most produced table cultivar in the State of São Paulo. Among the most recommended rootstocks for this cultivar are 'IAC 766', 'IAC 572' and '106-8 MGT'. The influence of the rootstock on nutrient absorption was observed, with variations in the levels of nitrogen, potassium, magnesium and manganese in the grafted plants. Variations in productivity were also noted. Regarding grape quality, factors such as soluble solids content, acidity and phenolic compounds can be influenced by the choice of rootstock. Therefore, the selection of the best rootstock for the Niagara Rosada cultivar depends on a series of factors, including the specific characteristics of the cultivation site, soil properties, agronomic practices adopted and the producer's objectives. In this chapter, some characteristics of the cultivation of 'Niagara Rosada' for table and the influence on the choice of the main rootstocks used, on the quality of the fruit and agronomic aspects will be presented.
