INFECÇÃO TRANSPLACENTÁRIA POR COVID-19: QUAIS AS POSSIBILIDADES?
Ao evidenciar em diversos estudos ao redor do mundo a possibilidade de casos de transmissão via transplacentária da Covid-19 entre uma mãe infectada e o recém-nascido, o presente trabalho pretende apresentar duas questões centrais: 1) compreender a transmissão transplacentária em mulheres grávidas e 2) identificar em estudos clínicos recentes evidências de modo a compreender a relação entre o vírus da Covid-19 e gestantes, e com isso estabelecer um paralelo entre às gestantes positivas para Covid-19 e a possibilidade infecção transplacentária. Trata-se de um estudo de revisão bibliográfica de estudos recentes sobre a Covid-19 e mulheres grávidas, a fim de compreender as formas de transmissão do vírus entre mãe recém-nascido. Tendo como eixo central a abordagem qualitativa de natureza exploratória. Mesmo com os casos identificados em estudos clínicos, as evidências ainda não são tão numerosas, mas revelam análises que merecem ser destacadas: 1) o número de recém-nascidos infectados cresce em todo mundo, visto que o número de mães gestantes infectadas também cresce; 2) o método de avaliação por placenta para identificar a carga viral do vírus e a infecção do recém-nascido ainda é limitada e, 3) é preciso promover novos estudos e pesquisas para que haja planejamento e ações adequadas em relação à saúde materna e neonatal.

Abstract:
By highlighting in several studies around the world the possibility of cases of transplacental transmission of Covid-19 between an infected mother and the newborn, the present work intends to present two central questions: 1) to understand the transplacental transmission in pregnant women and 2) identify evidence in recent clinical studies in order to understand the relationship between the Covid-19 virus and pregnant women, and thus establish a parallel between Covid-19 positive pregnant women and the possibility of transplacental infection. This is a bibliographic review study of recent studies on Covid-19 and pregnant women, in order to understand the ways of transmission of the virus between newborn mothers. Having as central axis the qualitative approach of exploratory nature. Even with the cases identified in clinical studies, the evidence is still not so numerous, but reveals analyzes that deserve to be highlighted: 1) the number of infected newborns grows worldwide, as the number of pregnant mothers infected also grows; 2) the method of evaluation by placenta to identify the viral load of the virus and the infection of the newborn is still limited and, 3) further studies and researches need to be promoted so that there is adequate planning and actions in relation to maternal and neonatal health .
